Als Morreall humor ziet als een mechanisme "of mental liberation" zullen er toch wel overeenkomsten zijn tussen zijn zogenaamde nieuwe (4e) humor-theorie en de klassieke "relief theory".
Ik heb het boek zelf nog niet gevonden. Het is zelfs moeilijk om aan gedetailleerde informatie te komen over de inhoud ervan (boverstaande covertekst vond ik op internet). Maar er wordt wel heel vaak naar gerefereerd, vooral in artikels en websites over humor en religie. Dus, hoewel dat in bovenstaand abstract niet duidelijk naar voren komt, zal het boek wellicht ook over die relatie gaan.
